Barratt Homes has reached a major milestone at one of its Nottinghamshire developments as it recently welcomed the 100th residents to its Berry Hill community.

The 156-home neighbourhood on Lindhurst Way West has been a property hotspot for Mansfield homebuyers and, now a century of completions has taken place, the development is now in its latter stages.

Dan (27) and Georgia (25), a couple of first time buyers, recently moved into their new home to become the 100th residents to cement their place at Berry Hill.

Georgia said: “We couldn’t be happier in our first home. The view from our garden is amazing and the walking routes that have been created are great.

“The local area is brilliant for us. There are plenty of shops, pubs and gyms, plus woodland areas and Berry Hill Park close by so it’s nice and rural.”

Dan and Georgia purchased a three bedroom Maidstone style home which, with three bedrooms, has meant the couple have been able to create a dressing area and home office with one of the spare rooms.

During its lifecycle, Berry Hill has hosted a VIP launch with Sue Saddington and Cllr Kay Cutts MBE, the former Chairman and Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council, respectively.

Barratt Homes has also welcomed a group of pupils from Berry Hill Primary School to its show homes for a day of storytelling as part of National Storytelling Week.

The development already has a community park and wildlife reserve on the doorstep, with a proposed primary school and a village centre with shops and a pub also being considered.

Jan Ruston, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time at Berry Hill and it’s fantastic to reach this milestone for the development in welcoming our 100th residents to the community.

“Dan and Georgia are among many first time buyers who have been drawn to this excellent location due to the countryside surroundings and access to essential amenities.

“This is a development with exciting plans and we’re looking forward to helping future residents take that first or next step on the property ladder here.”

To improve transport links in the area, the Berry Hill Flyer was also introduced for the community as a brand new bus route to connect new residents to Mansfield town centre.

Berry Hill currently has two and three bedroom properties available with prices starting from £173,995.
