Tracey Parker, Founder of Ben’s Den and Ben’s mother, said: “The money raised by Barratt and David Wilson Homes will enable many more priceless memories to be made. We’re so proud that Ben’s Den is able to keep running and we’d like to say a big thank you to Barratt and David Wilson Homes and everyone who took part in the golf day.”
Founded in March 2004, Ben’s Den provides free caravan holidays for children with leukaemia and cancer to spend time with their families and make happy memories.
The charity was set up in memory of Ben Parker who passed away aged 13 from leukaemia in 2003.
Mark Cotes said, “The tournament was a great day of golf enjoyed by all, made even better knowing that we were raising vital funds for such a worthwhile cause.
“As a leading developer, we strive to contribute towards local charities, close to towns we build in, and we’re very pleased that our golf day was able to raise over £13,000.”
