Yuletide entertainment and creativity was the order of the day for Leicestershire developer Barratt Homes North Midlands, who recently hosted a virtual wreath making demonstration.

Sarah Sutton, a Leicester-based florist, ran the wreath making session from her computer at home, gradually taking Leicestershire residents and those at Barratt Homes’ developments through the inventive process.

Sarah, owner of The Wild Bee and Me in Saddington, took homeowners on a whistle-stop tour of how to convert individual wreath making materials into a fully completed and decorated wreath for the doors of their new homes.

Sarah said: “With the festive season well and truly underway, it was great to collaborate with Barratt Homes to teach attendees how to put together a Christmas wreath. I hope everyone involved enjoyed the session.

“They’re the perfect homemade item and can really add to your front door or interior, as well being a great seasonal themed gift for loved ones or friends at Christmas time.”

In the two-hour session, those involved in the session were encouraged to nip outside into their garden or to nearby green space and add a personal, home-based touch to their wreath.

Jan Ruston, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We wanted to provide an opportunity for people interested in purchasing a property with us to learn how to make wreaths for Christmas and celebrate the magical season with us.

“Wreath making is a Christmas activity that is growing in popularity and offers something completely different. The activity was both stimulating and enjoyable, and we’d like to thank Sarah for teaching us the tools of the trade for and hosting a fantastic demonstration.”

The demonstration was enjoyed by all ages and encouraged the attendees to explore the opportunity to make wreath making a hobby for Christmas time and beyond.

Barratt Homes currently has a range of developments in Leicestershire including City Heights and New Lubbesthorpe in Leicester, Grange View in Hugglescote and Wigston Meadows in Wigston.
