A Nottinghamshire based care home raised more than £300 from their summer fayre with plenty of entertainment and activities.

MHA Queenswood set up the fayre from their garden and it was the first event the home hosted since the pandemic.

The home offers residential care for up to 41 people and will use the funds to organise day trips and activities for residents.

There was plenty for guests to get involved in with fayre favourites tombola, raffle and some live singing.

There was also a tea and cake sale to keep everyone refreshed and topped up.

Bev Buck, activity coordinator said: “The fayre was a great way to welcome the community back into the home.

“We had a great day, the residents had a lot of fun, and everyone was in a good mood.

“We had plenty of stuff to do on the day, with a cake, book, and jigsaw sale

“The total amount raised was £301.50, which is a great achievement and one that we are very grateful for.

“The funds will go into our amenities fund, and once we have discussed with residents, we will decide what to do with it.

“I want to thank everyone who came and supported us on the day, it was a great community effort and we are already looking forward to the next one.”
