The Bannatyne health club in Leicester is appealing to members to help give local vulnerable children a treat this Easter.

All Bannatyne Health Clubs are collecting Easter eggs, and each has chosen a local worthy recipient to receive them with the    Leicester club nominating Leicester Children’s Holidays.  In return the member will receive a complimentary day pass, to be used by a friend or family member before the end of April 2020.

Since 1898 the charity has provided free respite breaks for children aged 8 to 11 who face difficult circumstances at home. The youngsters may live in a low-income family, have suffered a bereavement, be a child carer looking after a parent or sibling, or need a break for a host of other reasons.

The holidays have a huge impact on their young lives, borne out by their excited comments such as “I didn’t want to come home”. Happy memories are made, and the children develop a fresh outlook on life. Their parents benefit too – they get a break which relieves pressure and strengthens family bonds.

It is proud to have provided more than 60,000 free holidays for young children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland since 1898.

The club’s general manager Vishal Gohil said: “We know that our members will be generous, as they always are when we support good causes.

“Bannatyne Health Club and Spa Leicester prides itself on being part of the local community and we are thrilled to be able to support Leicester Children’s Holidays and donate some chocolate goodies.”
