Cult dessert brand and student favourite, Insomnia Cookies, has confirmed it is further expanding its presence in the UK, as its late-night treats land in Nottingham City Centre Saturday 26th April

From 4:00pm, Nottingham locals are invited to join Insomnia Cookies to celebrate the grand opening. For the person lucky enough to be first in the queue, there will be a year’s supply of cookies up for grabs, with the following 50 in the queue getting their hands on FREE merchandise – with everyone else in attendance set to enjoy a complimentary cookie and be in with a chance to win prizes galore. After last year’s hype, with people queuing from as early as 5am to get their hands on the goods, excitement is expected to be just as high this time around.

Beloved stateside for delivering warm, delicious cookies until the early hours, the brand has built a legion of loyal fans in Manchester and Sheffield already thanks to its indulgent menu that includes everything from chocolate CHUNK (#ChunksNotChips) to Reese’s Peanut Butter and Biscoff.

Stores offer seasonal specials, including the limited-edition Red Velvet Cheesecake Filled Cookie- made with delicious red velvet dough and packed with a gooey cheesecake frosting centre. Specials are dished up alongside the famous Cookie’wich (two scoops of creamy, cold ice cream sandwiched between two warm Classic Cookies), cookie shakes, cookie cakes, ice cream, brownies, and a host of other sweet treats.

Insomnia Cookies delivery drivers will drop off the freshly baked, warm goods to your door until 3am – and if you want to get personal, you can build your very own customised box filled with your favourite flavours.

The cult US bakery chain will be opening on Angel Row, on 26th April with the new store opening until 3am.

Founded in 2003, Insomnia Cookies is the brainchild of founder Seth Berkowitz, who dreamt up the idea while he was a college student looking for late-night snacks. Insomnia Cookies now boasts more than 277 bakeries across North America and has expanded rapidly in the UK in the last year. The new opening will join three locations in Manchester and a newly opened store in Sheffield.

Millie Ralston, Senior Marketing Manager at Insomnia Cookies commented: “We’re thrilled to be opening in Nottingham this April and can’t wait to bring our warm, delicious cookies to the heart of the city. Nottingham’s lively community is the perfect fit for us, and we’re excited to serve everyone from students pulling all-nighters to locals looking for a late-night treat. Whether you’re out exploring the city or unwinding after a long day, we’ll be here, seven days a week, until late.”

To celebrate the launch of the new Nottingham store, Insomnia Cookies is offering a FREE warm deluxe cookie to anyone who signs up to its rewards program between now and the opening party!
