Plans submitted for affordable homes near Coventry
Leading regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships has submitted plans with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for 82 homes off Stockley Road in Hawkesbury Village.
The proposals would see Vistry Partnerships going beyond the local authority’s Section 106 requirements by building 21 affordable properties plus 31 grant-funded homes offered at below-market prices through a Registered Provider. The remaining 30 homes will be available for open market sale through Linden Homes, part of Vistry Group.
Vistry Partnership’s Regional Director for East Midlands, Andy Reynolds, commented: “As regeneration experts, we are delighted to have secured this site and submitted our proposals to the local authority. Stockley Road forms a key part of our plans to create a vibrant new Canal Village just five miles north of Coventry city centre, and should the project be given the green light, it will help to bring dozens of affordable homes to the area for the local people.”
The proposed £16m development, situated close to Hawkesbury Canal Junction, forms part of Vistry Partnership’s wider plans to transform the area. Outline planning consent has already granted for 132 new homes at the adjacent Golf Course.
A decision on the Stockley Road scheme is expected XXXX, and should the plans be approved, Vistry Partnerships will look to start work on-site as soon as possible. The entire project is anticipated to be completed by XXX.
