Martin Grant Homes, the housebuilder behind the Buckton Fields development in Boughton, just outside of Northampton, has provided a £400 donation to the Northamptonshire Food Poverty Network. The donation will go towards the charity’s Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund which provides food packages to those in need throughout the lockdown period.
Run by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation, the Northamptonshire Food Poverty Network has been tackling food insecurity across the county since 2012. Martin Grant Homes’ donation will help them to continue supporting the most vulnerable during these trying times.
Chris Hamilton, Managing Director for Martin Grant Homes, comments: “This last year has been challenging for us all, but with everything else going on no-one should have to worry about putting food on the table for their families. We hope this donation goes some way to help those who face that struggle every day by helping to fund the amazing work that the Northamptonshire Food Poverty Network does to support them.”
Rachel McGrath, Grants Director and Deputy CEO of the Northamptonshire Community Foundation said: “Northamptonshire Community Foundation are absolutely delighted to receive this generous donation towards our work supporting local charities and community groups tackling food poverty and providing food aid during this public health crisis. This will help ensure some of the most vulnerable members in our community are kept safe and well.”
