Nottingham-based J Tomlinson has been announced a finalist in this year’s Care Sector Supplier Awards, which recognise and celebrate companies who work effectively and innovatively with clients operating in the care industry.

The building, refurbishment and maintenance services partner has been shortlisted in the Building, Decorating and Property Services category of the awards, which are now in their second year.

A leading provider to the care sector, J Tomlinson works across a wide range of residential and nursing facilities including retirement living spaces, dementia care homes, neurological rehabilitation centres, assisted living schemes and day care centres. The company, which provides a wide range of building services from refurbishment and construction to high-quality maintenance, has built up strong partnerships with prominent clients in the sector including Hamberley Development, The Extra Care Charitable Trust, The Royal British Legion, Housing 21, MHA, HC One, Anchor Housing, Advance Housing, and Riverside Group.

Over 35 companies have made the shortlist, with the final stage of judging due to commence over the coming weeks. This process will see a team of director-level judges working in care homes and home care scrutinising all entries in order to decide on the category winners and the awards of merit. Key focuses areas for judges include diligence, innovation, customer service, proven business performance and end-user engagement.

The results will be announced at lunchtime ceremony that is due to take place at The Hurlingham Club in London on Friday 19th November.

A spokesperson for the CCS Awards said: “All the shortlisted companies listed have demonstrated passion, determination, and real enterprise to deliver innovation and performance in their outstanding efforts to supply the Care sector with people, products, and services. Every company deserves congratulations for their achievement in reaching the final judging.”

Mark Davis, chief executive at J Tomlinson, said: “The past eighteen months have presented considerable challenges to every sector of the UK, with the care sector being one of the most highly affected by the pandemic. We are proud to work so closely with care providers across the UK helping them ensure their environments are in an optimum condition to facilitate the provision of person-centred, Covid-secure care –  and to have been recognised as a key supplier is a real achievement for us.”
