Leading Staffordshire developer David Wilson Homes has unlocked the doors to its freshly dressed show homes in Stafford, which launched on Saturday 25th March.
The three bedroom Archford and Kennett and four bedroom Hertford show homes are now open at the housebuilder’s development The Lapwings at Burleyfields on Martin Drive. Designed by Edward Thomas Interiors, the properties showcase a broad range of modern trends, natural materials and colours.
Megan Doherty, Client Account Manager at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “The three show homes at The Lapwings at Burleyfields have individually distinctive identities but, to achieve some commonality, we’ve referenced botanical prints and connections to nature in all three.
“Much of the furniture, wall treatments and accessories we’ve included can be found in high street stores, which means purchasers can replicate and further personalise our ideas in their own homes. The three properties are also deliberately designed to appeal to house hunters at every stage of life.
“The Archford makes an ideal starter home, and in here we’ve used a warming blush pink, rust and soft grey colour palette alongside natural woods. Couples or young families will be charmed by the three storey Kennett, which features a bold monochrome décor, with hints of moss green and taupe for a natural, organic feel.
“Finally, the four bedroom Hertford is aimed at a busy and active family. In this home we opted for colours inspired by nature, enhanced with accents of deep blue and brass.”
David Wilson Homes’ own Strategic Land Manager and budding novelist, Dr Martin Marais, has had his work represented in the show homes in the form of a Wild West themed children’s bedroom.
Martin said: “I was born in Zambia, but lived most of my childhood in South Africa and, therefore, I learnt about the Anglo-Boer War. After writing my first book on the Battle of Paardeberg, I began self-publishing all of my work online.
“Once I had started writing, my head was flooded with ideas for other novels. I have written a western series, which is not quite finished, and have started two other series – one set in medieval Europe and a steampunk series set in Los Angeles.
“It is incredible to have my work commemorated in this way. I love my work at David Wilson Homes; I am part of a team of amazing people and we always do our very best to deliver a house our customers will love.”
Burleyfields is a fast-growing rural community set on the outskirts of Stafford. Based just one mile away from the train station and offering views of Stafford Castle, the development is in the perfect location for those looking for quiet living with easily accessible shopping and commuting.
Steve Barton, Senior Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “It’s always exciting to reveal new show homes and we hope these properties will be a hit amongst a range of house hunters.
“Having been expertly designed and styled by Edward Thomas with an incredible reference to our own Dr Martin Marais, those who come to visit the show homes can be assured they will be up to date with the latest trends and a personal touch.”
David Wilson Homes currently has a range of three and four bedroom homes available at The Lapwings at Burleyfields with prices starting from £277,500.
