Bellway has finished work on more than one third of the homes at a new housing development in Towcester in the year since it opened its doors.

Five-star builder Bellway South Midlands is building a variety of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Farriers Court, off Burcote Road.

The development – which is set to consist of 90 homes of which 15 are designated affordable – now has 30 completed homes.

The first completions took place earlier this year and 20 homes are occupied. Five more completions are due over the coming weeks.

Elaine Brown, Head of Sales for Bellway South Midlands, said: “We are pleased with the feedback we have received on our homes at Farriers Court so far, and with the first residents now moved in, we are preparing to help more and more people select their dream home.

“There has already been a real mix of buyers at the site from younger first-time buyers to growing families. Many residents have moved within the local area and some further away, including a few buyers from Milton Keynes.

“Built on a hill, the development is in a picturesque and convenient location off the A5. The A43 is also just down the road, giving residents here easy access to key commuter towns such as Northampton and Milton Keynes.

“We will also soon be starting work on a children’s play area at the development, for both visitors and residents to enjoy.”

As part of the planning agreement for new homes, Bellway is investing more than £800,000 in the local area, including £460,000 for schools and £240,000 for sports and recreation. Contributions will also be made to town centre management and improvement, the fire service, public transport, kerbside recycling and public art.

There are two showhomes at Farriers Court which can currently be viewed by appointment only. The three-bedroom Somerby is an ideal starter home, with prices from £292,500. The three-bedroom Lichfield showhome is a detached house and prices start from £345,000.

Bellway achieved a five-star builder status from the Home Builders Federation this year as more than nine out of ten customers surveyed said they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.
